Glorious Islamic Centre invites Muslim students of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools in Nigeria to send their entries for this year's essay competition.
The objectives of GIC are: to educate Muslims and Non-Muslims alike in the light of Islam, cater for Social, Moral and Spiritual needs of all persons, co-operate with any lawful organization for the proper understanding of Islam, promote Education and Scholarship through Study, Symposia, Debates, Conferences, Film Strips, Reference Libraries any other Lawful means.

Guidelines
Entries can either be sent by Email in PDF/MS Word format to gic@gislamic.org, essay@gislamic.org, essay@gislamic.org or post/courier/hand delivery to the Centre Manager, Glorious Islamic Centre, Plot 460 Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Vulcanizer Bus Stop, Ikeja, Lagos. Tel: 08065832413, 08107722962
All entries must be typed and stapled together in the upper left-hand corner with title page on top. NO BINDING PLEASE. Each entry must begin with a title page containing the title of the essay, the writer's name, residential address, contact phone number, date of birth, school name, class and number of words
Essay must contain between 1500 & 2000 words for undergraduates level; not more than 600 words for secondary school level and not more than 300 words for primary level.
Every word of the essay is counted, but this does not includes the bibliography, footnote identifying non-original material or title and author information or the words contained in the title page.
Each entry must be received latest by 4p.m on Friday 6th November, 2016
Each entry must be accompanied by a copy of the entrant's photo ID or Birth Certificate, proof of College/School registration.
The competition is open to Muslims resident in Nigeria only.
Winners will be notified on 2nd of December, 2016.
Glorious Islamic Centre will not be responsible for any liabilities and losses resulting from participation in this competition
