Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 NLNG Nigeria Prize for Science, which recognizes outstanding scientific breakthroughs addressing local or Nigerian challenges, as defined by the Advisory Board. The prize aims to promote the advancement and application of science and technology, ultimately enhancing Nigeria's development and quality of life.
Scientists and innovators worldwide are eligible to apply by submitting a research paper or project proposal focusing on innovative solutions to climate change.
Eligibility
Open to scientists globally involved in applying science to address climate change.
Advisory Board or Panel of Judges members and their relatives cannot submit entries during their term and the subsequent year.
Nigeria LNG Limited staff and their family members are ineligible during their service and five years post-service.
Entries must demonstrate outstanding merit, advancing knowledge or offering innovative technologies for mitigating climate change effects.
Submissions should be completed scientific works with proof of concept or societal impact.
Only one entry per individual or group is allowed.

The winner(s) will receive a $100,000 award.
Procedure:
Collaborative works by multiple individuals are encouraged.
Each contestant or group can submit only one entry per competition year.
Entries must be submitted by the specified deadline and adhere to stated conditions to be considered.
