The “My Nigeria – Our Nigeria” debate competition, an initiative by Yiaga Africa with support from the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and in collaboration with the National University Commission (NUC) and All Nigerian University Debating Championship (ANUDC), aims to provide a platform for students to articulate their vision for the Nigeria of their dreams. It encourages insightful debates on crucial topics related to citizenship, national values, governance, and politics, fostering citizen engagement in governance and nation-building while promoting critical thinking, advocacy, and visioning among tertiary institution students.
The competition will be conducted at the zonal level, with winners advancing to the grand finale in Abuja. The final debate round will be broadcasted live on television and social media platforms, with various prizes awarded to the winners.
