The oratory contest hopes to engender in secondary school students the desire for oration, the mastery of the Nigerian official language and the art of good public speaking. The contest is targeted at Secondary School students within the ages of 9-15. The contest will be an avenue to discuss varied contemporary issues as it affects the country and children. Being its first edition, the oratory contest will be among 10 qualified in Oyo State.
Criteria
Schools are to apply for the competition with two of their students
Any school is eligible to contest in Oyo State
There will be a preliminary round of oration where 10 schools will make the long list of participating schools.
The students must be between the age range of 9 and 15.
The students must be bonafide students of the school they are representing
